One of the most bizarre incidents a Chinese company has reported is a series of published texts between a customer service representative and a woman who claimed her daughter became pregnant after wearing underwear bought from the company.
According to reports, a woman claiming to have purchased underwear from the company on Taobao- a popular online retail platform in China contacted customer support to lodge the shocking complaint about the purchase.
It’s understood that, despite the staff’s attempts to convince the disgruntled woman of the improbability of the claims the mother remained adamant that it was the only way her daughter could’ve gotten pregnant and demanded an explanation.
Following failed attempts at reasoning with the woman about the physiologically impossibility of her theory, including explaining that the factory consisted exclusively of female workers and a boss who had a vasectomy, the company opted to go public with claims fearing that the woman could go public with her version of the story.
The exchange between the lady and the anonymous company customer service representative was posted to social media so that persons could see the interaction.
The post quickly went viral locally, attracting several humorous theories on how the woman’s daughter had become pregnant.
It’s further reported that the company’s CEO attempted to reach the lady directly to learn more about this bizarre problem. It was later revealed that the girl in question was an influencer who was likely hoping to draw more attention to herself by creating this strange scandal he expressed.
“I hate this kind of people,” the man wrote, accusing the woman of making up a story for attention and ignoring the risk of dealing a “devastating blow” to businesses such as his.
