For the past few days the country has been experiencing scattered showers and heavy rainfall in some parishes across the island and it is expected to continue throughout the weekend.

A trough is across Jamaica and the western Caribbean which has been producing unstable weather conditions and is expected to remain across the region throughout the weekend until Monday with showers and thunderstorms.

The Met office’s bulletin issued on Friday morning indicates that a tropical wave is currently lingering across the southeastern Caribbean while tropical depression two is located 460 kilometers west of Fort Myers, Florida.
