Social Media giant TikTok is getting ready to directly challenge rival platform Instagram as it nears the launch of its photo-sharing app-“TikTok Notes.”

The launch of the upcoming app was recently shared with users via a notification about its “new app for photo posts.”

The update comes a month following leaks, which suggested the app was being developed and might be called TikTok Photos. It showed the letter “P” in TikTok-styled font as the presumed logo, as per PC Mag.

The development is the latest attempt by the popular video-sharing platform to diversify its offering as it continues to grapple with US legislators over a potential ban in the US over its ownership.
