Rising sprint sensation Alana Reid has signed on with international sports management firm Auctus Global Sports.

The firm made the announcement on Monday, via their social media page.

“We proudly welcome our newest addition to the AMP Global Sports family! ⚡ Give a warm welcome to Alana Reid,” the statement read.

“a phenomenal athlete with a personal best of 10.92! Get ready to witness her unstoppable determination as she takes on new heights with us. Welcome aboard, Alana! 🙌🎉” it added.

Reid, 18, steered Hydel to their first-ever Girls Champs title in April and has been on the global radar for many after blistering a 10.92-second run last year to break Veronica Campbell Brown’s National Junior record.

The precocious teen who has been part of Jamaica’s U-20 women’s world record team for the past three years joins the likes of 400m hurdles world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, and Olympic & World Championship 200m silver medalist Kenneth Bednarek.

Former champs star and National 400m representative Akeem Bloomfield is also among their client list.

While a management deal would typically be an indicator than an athlete is ready to go professional, it has yet to be confirmed if she has opted to pursue that route.

The sprint sensation committed her immediate academics and athletics future to the University of Oregon in February. As it stands there are no concrete details to suggest a change of direction.

Should Reid follow through on her university commitment, she will also be following in the footsteps of national senior representative and fellow rising star Kemba Nelson.

Nelson, who logged a PB of 10.88s during the national trials last June, also graduated from the institution last year to conclude a stellar collegiate career which included a National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Indoor title and a record in the 60m.

Both sprinters are seen among the next golden generation of female sprinting which includes former World Junior Champion Briana Williams, World U-20 champion Tina Clayton and sister Tia Clayton, Cristina Cole and Kevona Davis, and World U-20 200m champ Brianna Lyston.
