Affairs surrounding the popular “Pepper light remix” seem to have gotten spicier following the removal of the track’s video from DJ Javv’s YouTube channel.

DJ Javv, the remixer who made the viral mashup, says his video was removed from his YouTube and called out Fambo for reporting the song.

In a video posted to his TikTok on Monday, DJ Javv shared that he had received a strike from YouTube following a report. He added that the complaint appears to be connected to Fambo’s account, according to an email from the platform, while responding to a user about the source of the report.

The track is a mashup of Fambo’s comedic recall of Medz Boss’ song “Just Doit” and audio from the viral pepper-spraying incident involving politician Desmond McKenzie, the source of the popular reference heard at the intro and throughout the track.

Commenting under the post, Fambo rejected the claims, noting that he’s unaware of the Disc Jock or the strike. The Artiste added that he wouldn’t have done it, as he urged the remixer to do what he has to do.

The unofficial remix which to help to catapult the viral popularity of Fambo’s version reached over 700, 000 views before its removal.
