The Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed that one of St Catherine’s most wanted fugitive Rudolph Shaw was captured in the Cayman Islands on Friday July 8.

Shaw is wanted in connection with multiple murders and several incidents of shootings in St Catherine and is considered to be one of the most wanted men in both police divisions in the parish.

Reports indicate that around 12:30 p.m., Shaw was captured during a targeted operation conducted by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Services.

It is understood that Shaw was previously pursued in Jamaica by the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JAGTF) as well as other policing units however all efforts to capture Shaw proved futile.

However, after pursuing several lines of investigation and boosting public awareness through the use of Social Media campaigns, information was received that Shaw was in the Cayman Islands.

This led to a collaborative process between local authorities and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Services which secured Shaw’s capture.
