Dancehall superstar Spice reaffirmed her status as one of the genre’s premier contemporaries as the music for her smash 2021 hit”Go Down Deh” ft fellow giants Shaggy and Sean Paul returned as the number one purchased content in the Reggae category on iTunes.

The Collaborative Classic from the Queen of Stage-Spice saw massive spikes in downloads following her special appearance on celebrity twitch streamer Kai Cenat, where she joined fellow dancehall monarch Vybz Kartel for an epic ‘dancehall takeover’ stream on the weekend.

Cenat’s following, of course, ranges in the millions globally, thus it’s undoubtedly expected that a significant number of listens would’ve registered via discovery of her music by non-dancehall fans.

Given the chart-topping return, it’s evident that fans love what they are hearing.

“Go Down Deh”, formed part of Spice’s Grammy-nominated album “10”, has remained a staple among several playlists over the years.

In addition to Canadian-platinum-certified status, it’s also among the highest-streaming numbers ever on YouTube for a Dancehall track, closing on 300 million views, one of multiple releases by the “So Mi like It” hitmaker to surpass 100 million on the platform.
