International Reggae artiste Jah Cure calls for awareness on his new ‘Blood In The Water’ single.

The song which was recently released under the Maizon Music label, is the newest material from the Grammy-nominated Reggae crooner, since his debacle with Dutch authorities, in October.

Produced by Kone, Rico VLS, and Real Kangol for Maiznon Music, the track instantly takes fans to the early reflective and militant vibes which helped Jah Cure become a major household name globally.

Among the major themes of Blood in the Water, is defiance in the face of the enemy and being cognizant also about your associations, whose motives are often revealed to mirror that of your foe.

Cure makes several references to himself being under scrutiny and being a target of a corrupt system and bad-minded persons, whose only aim is to see his demise.

However, he similarly expresses energy towards being able to recognize deception and not be caught up in propaganda.

The ‘Sticky (out deh)’ singer, impresses on this track with emotional appeal. His signature ‘raspy whaling’ translates well with the message, as you can feel parts of the song that have a personal significance to the singer.

Whilst it could be debated, if it’s too early for ‘Blood In The Water’ to be labelled a classic, the song certainly has the characteristics of being listed among the many hits in his expansive catalogue.

The song and video can be viewed on Jah Cure’s VEVO channel.
