Valiant recognised by New York City’s Public Advocate

Dancehall star Valiant is the latest Jamaican musician to earn a New York-based honour after receiving a certificate of recognition from the city’s Public Advocate for “dedicated service to community and cause.”

The “North Carolina” DJ, shared the honour with his fans via his Instagram stories on Monday.

Valiant has maintained a strong presence among top trending acts through the year with several hit releases including-“Gwaan Suh,” “God Fada” and “Lumbah,” which has pulled a collective 21 million streams on YouTube.

Vali joins Sean Paul and Spice to receive honours from the US city for their musical endeavours in the past week.

Paul was presented with the Key to the City during his Rise Up NYC performance last Saturday. Spice was honoured with a Proclamation by the City Council in a special ceremony on Wednesday.
