R&B singer and actor Tyrese Gibson has found himself embroiled in another ‘damming’ legal dispute with ex-wife, Samantha Lee, over his failure to pay a monthly child support order of USD 10,000.

However, the singer is blaming the 2023 writers’ strike for the late payments.

Documents obtained by Radar Online, reportedly show that the ‘Fast and the Furious’ actor recently gave a judge an explanation for why he was short on his latest child support payment – revealing that due to the actor’s strike, his income has drastically decreased, making it extremely difficult for him to keep up.

Reportedly, his statement says “The years in which he films [a Fast & Furious] franchise movie, his income is the highest in those years. In 2022, [Gibson] filmed the franchise movie in question, and he has not filmed any segment in that franchise movie since 2022. Consequently, [Gibson’s] income has fluctuated downward since the trial in this case, and as expected, [Gibson] does not earn the same amount that he earned in August 2022.”

It continued, noting that his income has dropped “To less than twenty percent (20%).”

Understanding this, Tyrese is seemingly asking for a readjusted figure.
