Social Media giant TikTok will end its subscription-based streaming service, TikTok Music, starting November 28.

TikTok announced the move on Tuesday with parts of its Asian Oceana and Latin America markets, such as Brazil, Australia, Singapore and Indonesia, set to be impacted by the planned November wind down.

It’s understood that the decision is part of the company’s pivot to focus its efforts on the “Add to Music App,” which launched last November.

The app allows users to save a track they discover on TikTok to their preferred streaming service, as per Billboard.

“We will be closing TikTok Music at the end of November to focus on our goal of furthering TikTok’s role in driving even greater music listening and value on music streaming services for the benefit of artists, songwriters and the industry.”

The company rolled out the “Add to Music App” last November for users in the U.S. and U.K.

Following its launch, Obermann described the app as “a direct link between discovery on TikTok and consumption on a music streaming service, making it easier than ever for music fans to enjoy the full-length song on the music streaming service of their choice, thereby generating even greater value for artists and rights holders.”

In February, TikTok expanded access to the Add to Music app to 163 countries worldwide.
