The trial for the case of suspects charged with the 2016 armed Jewellery robbery of reality TV personality Kim Kardashian in Paris, France, is set to officially begin following jury selection in the French capital on Monday.

According to reports, measures now in place for the courts to begin hearing testimony against the ten accused in connection with the high-end heist seven years ago in which an estimated nine million dollars worth of Jewellery was forcefully stolen from the Kardashian.

It’s further reported that part of the reason for the delayed start was due to one of the defendants having died since the incident, with another aged 80 needing his case to be separated due to an underlying medical condition, as per NBC News.

The defendants deemed fit to stand trial include Didier “Blue Eyes” Dubreucq, 69; his brother of Kardashian’s driver in Paris, Gary Madar, 35,  who is accused of providing the alleged gang members with information about Kardashian’s whereabouts and suspected mastermind, 69-year-old Aomar Ait Khedach, Paris AP reports.
