Do you suffer from any of the following?

  • Long term fatigue
  • Post-exertional malaise i.e., a crash after exerting yourself
  • Myalgia – muscle aches and pains
  • Temperature dysregulation
  • Brain fog – difficulty focusing or concentrating

If you do, you may be suffering from Post-acute COVID-19 Syndrome. According to Dr Anthony Fauci these symptoms may be sure signs that you have had COVID-19. These symptoms have been known to occur in persons who have had COVID-19 even months after they have technically recovered from the disease.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Fauci said he is presently dealing and with a number of people who have post COVID-19 Syndrome. “They have a persistence of symptoms that can be debilitating.”  He further indicated that some people have not gotten back to normal energy or normal feeling of good health. Sometimes the chronic fatigue which causes people to feel aches and pains all over can make people feel like they are having a heart attack.

If you are experiencing these symptoms you should seek medical advice because while doctors may not know how to cure Post-acute COVID-19 they may be able to treat the symptoms. In addition to highlighting the symptoms and giving the advice, Fauci has indicated that the medical community is studying COVID-19 intensely and “We are going to make a major investment in research dollars to try and find the full extent of this.”
