Top Jamaican/American actress Sheryl Lee Ralph continues to add to her already golden career and life as she accepted another accolade but this time an honorary doctorate from Rutgers University.

The Abbott Elementary star was given the honorary doctorate of fine arts degree, acknowledging her work in theatre, film/video, and music.

FunFact: Ralph who is a past student of Rutgers University, graduated in 1972, creating history – being the youngest to do so at the age of 19.

Recently, she was the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony for the institution.
