Twitter has blocked the President’s Twitter account.
President Donald Trump has been very vocal on social media throughout his four years in office and many think he should be censored. Social media networks have been very strict on President Trumps posts following the riots today at the US Capitol.
President Trump also posted a video encouraging his supporters to go home peacefully but still reiterated his claims about the 2020 elections being fraudulent.
Facebook and YouTube removed President Donald Trump’s video.
“This is an emergency situation and we are taking appropriate emergency measures, including removing President Trump’s video,” Guy Rosen, Facebook’s VP of integrity, said in a tweet.
“We removed it because on balance we believe it contributes to rather than diminishes the risk of ongoing violence.”
