A new Shenseea album is set to be on the way soon. Fans should expect to hear new music tied to a follow up project, the Dancehall Alpha revealed to the media.
Shenyeng shared the news during her recent appearance at Mtv’ s Video Music Awards (VMA).
“You know my first album was just giving back to the culture to putting it on for them, I think the next album is gonna be more about where I’m going to be, and just to show you where I am creatively” she said while speaking to a media outlet recently hosted VMAs.
She also added that the project which will be her second official release will be out “real soon”.
In a Rolling Stone interview, the ‘Rain’ hitmaker shared that the style and mood of the new music will be a slight departure from the typical style that fans are accustomed.
“Honesty the new music that I’m about to release, let me just tell you from now it’s gonna be something completely different from my last album” she mused.
The ‘blessed’ singer shared that theme of the album will be a reflection of her current mood.
“its gonna be what I’ve been going through right now. I’ve been so depressed lately stress out” she joked.
“More like dark moody but relatable” she added.
“Lets look on end of September mid-October” Shenseea hinted that fans on the expected timeline for new tracks potentially related to the sophomore effort.
Shenyeng is currently enjoying a wave of success with the collaborative track “Obsessed” with Calvin Harris and Charlie Puth.
The track which was released in August has already amassed over 13 million streams on Spotify.
