International Dancehall Juggernaut, Mavado, continues a strong repossession amongst the local listenership, following his most recent collaboration with one of the genre’s brightest stars- Jahshii for their upcoming single, ‘Tears’, which was released on March 15.

The single which has created a buzz since its preview on social media this week, premieres this afternoon on Mavado’s YouTube channel.

‘Tears’ by its suggestive title is seemingly an emotionally appealing song driven by hard-hitting consciousness between Mavado and Jahshii who deliver more of a reflective outcry based on the previewed audio.

This latest single from Mavado seemingly shows a return to a more socially advocating mentality by the Gullyside top man, which had earned him a commanding following through his authentic relatability during his rise.

A similar direction in his music is heard in his previous collaboration with Dexta Daps and Jay A on their track, ‘Pain’ which was released two weeks prior.

That track jumped into the top three most trending with more than 1.1 million streams since its release.

Based on the numbers, it’s evident that demand remains high for similar content from Mavado as well as Jahshii.

Jahshii has risen to prominence via the compelling relatability of his content, which mainly speaks about triumph through adversity, which continues to target among local and international fans.
