Reggae-dub sensation Lila Ike is set to show the impact of her sound after being featured on British R&B singer Jorja Smith’s upcoming album “Falling or Flying,” which is set for release on September 29.

Ike makes her appearance on the song titled “Greatest Gift,” which is listed at number nine on the 16-track project.

The Jamaican is one of two features listed on the album, with the other being British rapper and singer J Hus.

Ike, who has been among the forerunners of the new wave dub-reggae revival movement, has been steadily establishing her name and her sound on the global scene with favourites such as “I Spy,” “Biggest Fan,” and “Thy Will.”

The “Solitude” hitmaker, who recently returned from her “Wurl Ike European Summer Tour,” has shown an increased appetite for her music, which was also evident in her winning the Female Artiste of the Year (Reggae) at the Inaugural Caribbean Music Awards (CMA).

The Jorja Smith feature is the latest in a growing list of major collaborations for Ike, who has previously linked up with musical mentor Protoje, Agent Sasco, and Skillibeng.

It’s also not the first time Smith has worked with a Jamaican musical act, as noted producer Izybeats co-produced her 2019 hit “Be Honest,” featuring Burna Boy.
