L.A. Lewis was reportedly fined $10,000 or 30 days behind bars after pleading guilty to breaching a toll barrier following his appearance in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday.

Lewis was charged with the offense after a video started circulating of him appearing to deliberately commit the breach while going through the Portmore Toll.

In the video, he is seen diverting from a line of traffic exiting Portmore before directly driving through the barrier of the tagline while complaining about waiting too long.

According to reports, Lewis was charged with two counts of evading the toll, and two counts of forcible damage to toll road property. However, Lewis pleaded guilty to one count of the charges.

He was taken into custody on Friday by the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

It’s understood that Lewis drove through the toll plaza twice without paying while causing damage to the barrier. He is reportedly set to return to court on September 15
