Dancehall star Jahshii said that he has a responsibility to set a good example for youths who look up to him as a role model.

“My job, enuh, is to be somebody pickney role model til me pass on enuh, all when me pass on them still look up to me til them pass on and can send it on to somebody else.”

In what was his first interview since the passing of his brother and subsequent flair-up of violence in his Grants Pen community, Jahshii shared that he is focused on being a person who inspires the next generation and not be caught up in negative elements.

“Garrison is like a time bomb, man, and human being dem live inna di garrison will just go off at any time…so annuh because a me..or not me,… any Garrison go off at any time” he said when quizzed if he feels like a target.

The “Born Fighter” hitmaker appeared upbeat and unbothered when quizzed if any “rumours or speculations” that assert otherwise diminished that goal, as he reaffirmed his positive impact on his community.

“The media a did media man…we cyaa live for that.” That’s why we can forward yahso and hold a reasoning with you bro and can make ‘e’ people dem know too and make ‘e’ fans dem know to,  a whole heap a things dem aguh seh weh nuh guh so.”

“Numb,” which was an emotionally charged record, has so far amassed over 418,000 streams on YouTube.
