“I never said I was pregnant, I said God has been good to me,” Spice declared as she explained that she is going through a personal rebirth after having undergone a near death surgery.
The self titled “Queen of stage” detailed the life changing experiences which caused her to be noticeably absent from social media.
In what was her first official instagram live in months, the deejay stated that the image posted on all socials portraying her to be pregnant, is a mere representation of her giving birth to her “new life” or “new beginnings”.
“No I’m not pregnant that was the celebration of my new life, I did that for my new life for my rebirth, and that was what I was celebrating,” Spice said.
Spice who has been absent from the public eye overall since late last year, shared implicit details about her medical procedure in the Dominican Republic for the first time.
The ‘So mi Like it’ hit maker shared that the reason behind the surgery was to treat a life-threatening hernia in her abdomen which was detected while receiving treatment for fibrosis.
This she said, was the reason for her trip to the Dominican Republic and not for cosmetic purpose as was widely speculated.
In the over hour-long update to fans, a very open Spice noted that her extended absence from the spot light was as a result of her having multiple surgeries to rid her body of a sepsis infection she developed following the procedure.
In what could be deemed a sermon of sorts, Spice described her experience with the life-threatening infection and overcoming, as testimony of her faith.
The singer ended the live by assuring fans that she was fully recovered and healthy.
Spice is scheduled to perform at several upcoming shows beginning the end of March.
