Gas and diesel prices up $4.50

Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in gasoline and diesel prices, effective Thursday, January 26.

The latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam indicate that 87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $167.91 and $171.88 per litre, up by $4.50.

Automotive diesel fuel, meanwhile, is expected to be sold for $213.34 per litre after an increase of $4.50. Ultra-low sulphur diesel has gone up by $4.50 and will be sold for $221.26 per litre.

The price for kerosene increased by $4.50 and will be sold for $219.04 per litre.

Propane liquid petroleum, in the meantime, will be sold for $68.11 after an increase of $3.06, while butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $76.20, going up by $3.06.

Marketing companies and retailers are expected to add their respective mark-ups.
