R&B superstar Ciara has added another title to her legacy after officially becoming a citizen of Benin over the weekend.
The singer, who traced her ancestry to the French-speaking African state, proudly completed the naturalisation after being sworn in as a citizen at an official ceremony on Saturday.

The US-born Ciara beamed with pride as she accepted and posed with her certificate of citizenship alongside government officials at the ceremony, which was filled with media fanfare as part of a national celebration.
The “Body Party” hitmaker also expressed delight in being accepted, as she noted the personal and wider social significance of the moment.
