The case file for the Grade 11 BB Coke High student, who is accused of beating a younger schoolmate at the institution last Thursday has been moved from the Santa Cruz Court to the Black River Court in St. Elizabeth.
The family and Attorney of the accused were gathered at the Santa Cruz courthouse this morning when the information was reportedly given to the family.
According to the Grade 11 student’s attorney, Hopeton Marshall he was informed of such by Judge.
The teen was charged at the weekend with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and is to face the court today (October 2).
In the meantime, the injured student remains in hospital.
An update is expected at 3 p.m.
