‘Bwoy Affi’ reportedly cracks one million streams on Spotify

Fast rising Dancehall artiste Bigs Don continues to ride the wave of success from his viral hit ‘bwoy affi’.  The official single has reportedly garnered one million streams on popular music streaming service Spotify.

According to reports his viral smash has gained upwards of 1,166,000 Spotify Streams within a month of its release.

A feat which many more established acts have at times struggled to accomplish in a similar time frame.

 Despite criticism locally over the production of the rerecorded version of the track, international fans were unfazed as the artiste is said to average more than 220,000 monthly listeners.

Most of whom according to the analytics of his listenership, hail from the US, UK, the Netherlands, and Canada.

The song which was originally a part of freestyle challenge in April, has garnered global attention for its catchy melody and signature ‘bwoy affi’ punch line, which has since been adopted as a pop cultural reference, to being persuaded to change one’s mind about a decision.

The continued success of the track will certainly be aided with the recent release of the official video, which was premiered on his VEVO channel, Friday.
