Afrobeat star Burna Boy linked up with Reggae icon Sizzla Kalonji during a visit to ‘Judgement Yard’ in August Town on Monday as he continues his birthday celebrations in Jamaica.
The link-up was shared by Kalonji during his Instagram live on Monday evening where the ‘African Giant’ was seen enjoying the Afro-Caribbean connection through the music and culture.
Burna also expressed gratitude for the meeting as he paid homage to Sizzla as one of his inspirations.
Burna’s ‘Judgement Yard’ visit follows a week of Dancehall indulgence, including partying at the popular event “Weddy Weddy Wednesdays” in Kingston and living it up at his birthday bash in Ocho Rios.
The latter included electrifying performances from dancehall stars Beenie Man, Skeng, Tommy Lee, Teejay, Laalee, Kemar Highcon, and Byron Messia.
Burna who is visiting the island for the second time has labeled Jamaica his “second home” and repeatedly expressed his love for the people and the culture.
The reception seems evidently mutual between the dancehall mass and the “Last Last” hitmaker who has grown to become one of the most favored international acts in recent times.
The ‘Ye’ hitmaker who has been enjoying supreme global success over the last two years has shown he has no intention of slowing down after making history by being the first Nigerian to headline both a US Stadium and a London Stadium shows.
