Afro beat icon Burna Boy is continuing to enjoy a massive summer after scoring a gold plaque for his hit single Last Last.

The African Giant may have been disappointed after not bagging a Video Music Award (VMA) win for the track, but is certainly having the last laugh as his summer smash has racked up the equivalent of 400,000 units in sales in UK.

This certification was announced by the official account of the Brits Awards on Twitter on Friday of September 23, along with a creative cover art graphic of Last Last with an affixed gold stamp.

The Toni Braxton sampled track which speaks about a breakup, has ironically become one of the most hype anthems of the year, breaking into several international charts including the Billboards peaking at 53 on the Hot 100.

The track is Burna’s third Gold-certified effort in England, alongside ‘Ye’ and his previous Grammy-winning album-African Giant, which have reported both independently earned in excess of 400,000 in sales in the UK.

‘Last last’ is the lead single from his latest Album Love, Damini which also features his Popcaan collaborated Toniann Singh (TAS). The track which was the second single from the project has also received favorable reception since its release.
