Andrew Bellamy has come forward to offer his apologies.
The video that emerged last night on social media also featured former Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Floyd Green, toasting to a no-movement day comment.
Green has since resigned from his parliamentary positions while Bellamy has resigned from the board of SERHA and chairperson responsibilities of committees at the KSAMC.
In a publicly tweeted official apology, Bellamy wrote:
“Allow me to publicly apologise to the government and people of Jamaica, also specifically to my constituents and to the leadership of the Jamaica Labour Party for the representation of my conduct in the video that is being circulated. The anger and disappointment based on the feedback received is regretted”
