Dancehall superstar Popcaan will add another plaque to his collection after his 2018 hit single “My Type” earned a silver certification for sales of 200,000 units in the United Kingdom.

The British Phonographic Institute officially verified the song’s certification on Friday.

The Jelly Records and KaleX production has maintained its status as a ladies playlist favourite with “My Type” racking upwards of 36 million streams on Popcaan’s YouTube channel alone.

The update underlines Popcaan’s immense and unwavering fan base in the European state, adding several certifications he has been credited both on solo and collaborative projects.

The “Unruly Boss,” of course, has been a go-to for hit collabs by major British acts including singer Jorja Smith, production group “Naughty Boy,” and pop/rock collective “AlunaGeorge“. All of which have earned certifications, respectively.

Popcaan, who also has plaques in the US and Canadian markets, is set to thrill his British fans later this month as a headlining act for the star-studded CITY Splash Reggae concert in Brixton.
