Jamaican Choreographer Latonya Style to deliver Dancehall workshop at Harvard University

The iconic choreographer Latonya Style is set to expand Jamaica’s culture internationally with a Dancehall workshop hosted by the History Design Studio at Harvard University on Wednesday.

The workshop kicks off a two-day Dancehall Symposium at the University titled “Jamaican Sound System For Body and Mind“. The day will also have the screening of a documentary on the culture- “Out There Without Fear: Jamaica’s Dancehall.”

In addition to delivering the highly anticipated dance workshop, Stylez will be among a panel which includes film Director Joelle Powe and Makonnen Blake Hanna on the topic of “The Global Influence of Dancehall Culture” set for the symposium’s final day on Thursday.

Style has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry over the years, with her moves being taught to and practiced by several international acts and dancers.
