Known for his comedic lyrical style of deejaying/toasting, veteran deejay Professor Nuts is set to be the first honouree of the ‘Ruggu Dat 14k Golden Mic Awards‘ come April 27 on the lawns of Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

Nuts pioneered the act of storytelling with witty lyrics, a style that has influenced many locally and internationally – including Spice, Vybz Kartel, Mr. Lexx, Govana, and others.

Sleek Entertainment caught up with Ruggu Dat 14k Golden Mic Awards organiser Janice Young who explained why Professor Nuts was selected as the first awardee.

Young then explained what the awards ceremony is about.

She also explained more about the importance of the 14k gold mic but stayed clear of disclosing its value.
