Deobra Redden, the man who attacked a judge in a Nevada court last week, was handed a 19-48-month prison term for a separate case on Monday.

According to reports, Redden,30, received the sentence in connection to a baseball bat attack on someone last year, where he was charged with attempted battery.

It was further reported that his judgement was handed down by Judge Mary Kay Holthus, whom Redden attacked whilst being sentenced in the now-viral incident last Friday (December 4).

Charges concerning his courtroom assault will be handled at a future date, according to Holthus, ABC affiliate KTNV, Vegas reports.

Redden made global headlines after he lept over the “bench” to attack her while receiving his sentencing for the battery charge.

According to KTNV, Vegas Holthus stated that she had not “changed or modified” the original sentence Redden was slated to be handed before the attack.
