Devon Martin – one of Trinidad’s talented soca artistes, otherwise known as Lyrikal released his 2024 Carnival track titled “Zero Conduct”.
For Lyrikal, the song surrounds “celebrating the people you love and ‘feting’ non-stop” as there should be no rules when you link up with friends and family.
However for the producer Dan Evens, “Zero Conduct” is “Mainly about the essence of carnival. A time of celebration and happiness where everyone lets go of their day-to-day life.”
He explained that “Carnival is a cultural pillar that enhances togetherness and freedom. It’s rooted in our past and it went through the centuries as a form of liberation.”
“During carnival, there is no judgment, no side eyes, no bad talk, everyone is behaving as they please,” Evens continued and said that’s what the song embraces.

The music producer told SLEEK that he enjoyed the recent collaboration. He said, “Lyrikal and I really talked this through and brought up ideas together to build this tune to its full potential.”
Evens also revealed that “Zero Conduct” will surely be on Lyrikal’s next album set for release in 2024.
