Rapper Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart earning 167,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending July 6.

This achievement makes it his third #1 album.

According to Luminate, this is the rapper’s third-largest debut, by units earned, and the biggest week of the year for any rap or R&B/hip-hop album.

Pink Tape created history as it is the first rap set to top the chart in 2023 – and ends the chart’s longest gap between No. 1 rap albums in nearly 30 years.

Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains was the last album to achieve this feat having spent one week atop the chart dated December 17, 2022.

Uzi previously hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Eternal Atake in 2020 and Luv Is Rage 2 in 2017.

The rapper hit the top 10 with Pluto x Baby Pluto, a No. 2-peaking collaborative set with Future in 2020.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape was released on June 26.
