Dancehall superstar Spice is now the second most trending artiste in Jamaica on YouTube, following the release of her ‘God A Bless Me’ single. The song marks her official return to the music scene following an over six-month health sabbatical.
The track and its accompanying video which was released last Friday, have already racked up over 300,000 views in its first 24 hours, catapulting it to the top two most streamed music content on the island via YouTube.

The track, no doubt benefited from the craze around the controversial return to the spotlight via her Instagram post and subsequent IG-live, which pulled upwards of 40,000 views last Friday morning.
The single and subsequent video, both themed on her recent health scare.
The Dancehall monarch instigated pregnancy reports prior to the IG-live and song release, which sent some social media users and fans into disbelief while others sent congratulatory notes.

She later dispelled the pregnancy rumors noting that the image was a personification of birthing new life following the near-death experience while being treated for a life-threatening sepsis infection.
‘God a Bless Me‘ has so far received a nod of approval from a majority of her fans with many commenting on her return.
Not only is the song among the top local trending, but it has broken into the top three most streamed Reggae tracks on iTunes in the US.
Spice shared the achievements with her fans via IG

The Grammy-nominated artiste, who shared that the ordeal had steered her into a renewed phase in her life, also said she is back and ready to resume her reign in the space.
