Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell made franchise history after posting a career-high 71-points to lead them to a 145-134 overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

Mitchell’s career-best night was the icing on the cake of a miraculous game for the Cavs after he scored from his own rebound after deliberately missing a free throw with the score on 128-130.

That shot not only tied the game and sent it to overtime but also brought him to 58 points eclipsing the previous Franchise best of 57 points by Kyries Irving.

Michel would however further solidify his name in NBA history after adding another 13 buckets to raise his tally for the night to 71 points as the Cavs capped off a remarkable comeback with the final score of 145-134.

His 71 makes him only the seventh player in NBA history to pass 70 or more points in a game.

The record stands at 100 points by the great Wilt Chamberlin while playing for Golden State Warriors in a 1962 game against the New York Knick.
