Two people charged with gun find in St Thomas

Two people including a man and a woman were charged in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition at Whitehorses in St Thomas.

The accused, Duran Anthony Foster and Ladonna McLean, were last week charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and possession of ganja.

According to reports, at around 5:30 am on Friday, November 16, a team of investigators executed a search of a premises in the Whitehorses district.

While searching the premises, lawmen observed a man fleeing and discarding an object as he ran.

A subsequent chase ensued, and the suspect was caught. A .38 revolver with 6 rounds of ammunition was also retrieved.

Both suspects were taken in custody and taken before the St Thomas Parish Court where they were charged and ordered to return to court on December 5.
