Jamaica on Saturday recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,379.

There was one additional death, a 57-year-old woman from St Catherine. This increased the figure to 2,845. There were no coincidental deaths, nor deaths under investigation.

The positivity rate decreased from 6.4 per cent to 3.3 per cent. The total number of tests: 2,914.

Of the 25 new cases, Kingston and St Andrew accounted for the highest number with 7.

St Catherine in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 4; St Mary followed with 3; Clarendon, Hanover, Manchester, St James with 2 each; St Thomas, Trelawny and St Elizabeth with 1 each; Portland, St Ann and Westmoreland recorded no new cases.
