Jamaica on Monday recorded 18 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,418.

There was one additional death, an 89-year-old man from Kingston and St Andrew. This increased the figure to 2,851. There were no coincidental deaths, nor deaths under investigation.

The positivity rate increased from 3.8 per cent to 5.1 per cent. The total number of tests: 1,883.

Of the 18 new cases, Kingston and St Andrew accounted for the highest number with 4 each.

St James in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 6; Manchester, Portland, St Ann, St Catherine and Westmoreland followed with 1 each; Clarendon, Hanover, St Elizabeth, St Mary, St Thomas and Trelawny recorded no new cases.
