Controversial rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) has been ranked Billboard’s ‘Top Gospel Artiste’ for a third consecutive year.

According to Billboard, Ye’s 2021 release ‘Donda’ retained its status as the top-selling album in 2023, making it the third successive year at the summit, followed by his 2019 “Jesus Is King” LP, which was also ranked the fifth best-selling album from the genre this year.
Despite what could be described as Ye’s somewhat fall from grace in recent times, there has been little impact on his faith-based projects, which topped charts during their respective releases.

“Donda” reportedly moved a massive 309,000 units in its opening week to top the Gospel and Christian album charts and US Billboard overall Hot 200 album charts.

“Donda’s” feat comes two years after Ye’s debut in the genre with “Jesus Is King.” The LP pulled the equivalent of 264,000 units in its first week, a record at the time on the two faith-based lists, Billboard reports
