Ye formerly known as Kanye West is “no longer a billionaire,” this according to leading finance publication Forbes Forbes.
The revisions to the rapper’s Net worth comes shortly after Adidas announced the immediate termination of its partnership with Ye following a string of highly controversial comments deemed very anti-Semitic rhetoric.
According to Forbes, Ye’s new net worth has plummeted by over 75% and now stands at an estimated US $400 million following the separation from Adidas which was said to be valued at US $1.5 billion.
In a release on Tuesday the sportswear manufacturing giant who had placed the deal “under review” confirmed the split.
“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” a rep for the company said adding that Ye’s recent remarks were “unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous.”
This is the latest and finically biggest casualty of fallout by Ye following his erratic behavior.
Last week high-end fashion house Balenciaga through its parent company kerning has made move to distance itself from the rapper. A similar action taken by the hierarchy of leading fashion publication Vogue magazine.
This in addition to reports that major record label Defjam records have also dropped his GOOD Music management company as part of their affiliate.
