Dancehall Dance icon Ding Dong underlined his global appeal and the strength of his international fanbase after his debut album, “From Ding Dong to World Ding,” became the number one purchased album on the iTunes Reggae Charts.
The project, which debuted inside the top two hours following its release on Friday (May 2), claimed the top spot following three strong days of competition with resident occupant king of the Reggae charts, Bob Marley.

The Dancehall project is also positioned among the top ten most-streamed albums in the category on Apple Music.
Charting would be deemed a success in any case, but to be among the rare projects to topple the King himself is a feat in and of itself, which speaks volumes as to the quality, garnered interest, and general mass appeal.
