Luxury watchmaker Richard Millie has added its voice to the list of major global brands to salute the Legendary Sprint icon Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce following her recent retirement from Athletics.

In a heartfelt release on social media, the brand, which is also among Fraser-Pryce’s sponsors, highlighted the Jamaican’s immense contribution to the athletic world, her impact and inspiration through longevity and success and warrior spirit, which has been an aspect of global charm.

Fraser-Pryce, who is among an elite and a small group of global sports personalities sponsored by the company, also became the first and only Jamaican female signed to the brand, following their announced partnership in 2023.
She is just one of only three Jamaicans endorsed by a luxury watch brand, following Yohan Blake, who is also under the RM brand and Usain Bolt, who is signed to competitor Hublot.
That deal, of course, reverberated around the sports, entertainment and general public, which was a buzz with excitement.
“Shelly-Ann is not only a World Champion”, says Amanda Mille, brand and partnerships director of Richard Mille, “she is a strong woman who combines this with being a mother. As if that wasn’t already enough, she finds the energy for her charity work, and this all-round commitment totally reflects our values.”
