In what is dubbed a historic shift, the United States has dropped out of the top 20 happiest countries in the world settling at position 23 according to the 2024 World Happiness Report.
The significant decline is believed to be driven largely by the decreasing well-being among younger Americans. Also, some experts add that socio-economic challenges and mental health issues exacerbated by recent global events.
