The U-20 Reggae Girlz started their CONCACAF championships rocky following a 4-0 loss to Canada at the : OLÍMPICO FÉLIX SÁNCHEZ stadium, Costa Rica on Friday.

Goals from Anabelle Chukwu, Olivia Smith, and Renee Watson did the damage against the Jamaicans who struggled to cope in a high-paced opener.

Chukwu scored twice in the first half to set the tone for Canada after opening the score in the 39th minute with a well-worked one-two in the box, before capitalizing on a defensive error in extra time to double Canada’s lead.

Jamaica’s woes were made worst in the 56th minute after Smith showed composure inside the 18 yards box to launch a low curling shot to the far-left corner to make 3-0.

Watson hammered the final nail in the coffin with a well struck shot just outside of the box in the 94th minute to complete the fixture.

The result pushes Canada to the top of group A.

Jamaica will have limited time to lament on the loss as they face former winners US in the next encounter which is set for Sunday.
