Long overdue but according to reports the late iconic rapper Tupac Shakur will be honored with a star on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

While there has been no official release from the organizers of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Variety says they have received word that this will happen on June 7.

The site noted that details are being finalized.

The news comes on the heels of the successful five-part docuseries, ‘Dear Mama’, which chronicles the life of Shakur and his mother, the late Afeni Shakur, Tupac‘s mother, was a political activist and a member of the Black Panther Party.
