Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and Tottenham Hotspurs boss Antonio Conte, have both been charged by the Football Association (FA), following their sidelines clash on Sunday in the Premier League match between both teams.

The pair were both red carded, after an angry confrontation following the full-time whistle, as Spurs equalized six minutes into stoppage time.

It’s understood that the behavior from both men were deemed as improper as managers by FA.

The two will have until Thursday, August 18 to respond to the charge.

A probe was also said to have been launched into Tuchel’s post-match comments about referee Anthony Taylor.

The German suggested Taylor should not referee Chelsea matches in future.

The Blues were furious that Taylor failed to penalize Rodrigo Bentancur for a challenge on fellow midfielder Kai Havertz in the build-up to which led to Spurs’ first equalizer.

The resulting exchange between both mangers between the two managers, led to cautioning of both which ended with Tuchel and Conte. A confrontation which had only simmered instead of cooled as the managers got into it at the end of the 2-2 tie result in a second booking and subsequent red cards.

Despite the sending offs it doesn’t trigger an automatic suspension which is in typical cases for the offense.

The specifics of the penalties have yet to be released however, it’s believed that a fine will be executed on both men and they will be allowed to return to in the dug-out for under warning for next weekend’s games.
