Former Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel looks set to try his hand on the international level after reportedly agreeing to take the reins as England men’s football team’s head coach.

Noted Football Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported the agreement on Tuesday.

The news comes hours following reports that Tuchel was seen as the front-runner for the post, which has been in interim position since the departure of Gareth Southgate in July.

The details of the reported agreement, such as tenure or compensation, have yet to be shared.

The deal would also be Tuchel’s first coaching role since his split from German giants Bayern Munich in 2024 after one season.

While an official announcement by the FA confirming Tuchel’s appointment is yet to be publicly circulated, it would see the German be tasked with guiding the 2018 World Cup semifinalists to Cup qualification in 2026.
