A woman who just turned 102, credits “good sex and good sherry” as the key to a long and happy life.

She is Joyce Jackman who recently celebrated her birthday with a party and a cake at her care home in Thorrington, Essex, England.

The 102-year-old widow told her caregivers at Silversprings, she “didn’t want the day to end” because of how happy she was and, during the celebrations, said, the secret to a satisfying life is raucous bedroom activity and a regular shot of sherry.

Joyce married her childhood sweetheart, Terence Jackman, in 1945 who was a chef in the Royal Air Force – and while they had no children she acknowledges they had a very active sex life.

Meanwhile, management at the UK care home, said Joyce has a “fantastic sense of humour.”
