An 18-year-old Texan man is facing several charges after it was discovered that he choked two infants and staff at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Texas on Monday October 3.

The accused Marcus McCowan Jr is facing charges of attempted capital murder and several counts of aggravated assault.

It is understood that on the day in question, McCowan visited the hospital to tend to his girlfriend who was in active labor. Reports also outlined that the accused then broke into the nursery and grabbed a newborn from his mother and proceeded to choke the baby until he turned blue.

A security guard promptly stepped in and grabbed the child. Shortly after, McCowan then reportedly ran into the nursery and grabbed another newborn and began strangling her.

When the baby turned blue from lack of oxygen, he allegedly began to shake her and yelled “die.”

Staff members however managed to retrieve the infant and summoned the police. McCowan was subsequently arrested and is currently awaiting charges.
